Please keep in mind that although the site is live, we are still in testing mode. Things like your profile picture will not upload. Over the next while, you'll see a lot of things changing. And once all these little issues are worked out, we'll be adding some more new features. And then after that, even more!

My Profile
Here you can share your answers to 4 simple questions. Be open and feel free to write alot. But please keep this section to just text, no code to other sites or videos please. That is what the Check this out section is for. We are currently in the process of building "widgets" that will allow you to have collections of pictures, videos and music.

My Friends
You'll notice that your friends are automatically grouped. First by the people who are your teammates. Then by other people who are in your school or cheer at your gym (but not on your team). Lastly, there's everyone else. When your browsing for people you know (or want to know), you can add them as your friend without even waiting for them to approve you. Everyone can use more friends! (You can always delete someone from your friends list if you really don't appreciate them anymore.)

My Groups
To make things easy on you, we've added a feature called My Groups. Basically this is a way for you to keep your friends organized. You can put all your friends from another state in a group called Out-of-Towners, or you can put all the people you met at your last competition in a folder called Friends from COA's NE Open. Whatever you decide to name your groups is totally private, no one will know what group you've put them in.

Another really cool thing about grouping people is that you can message the entire group at once. How awesome is that?!?

Right under each of your friends' pictures, you'll see a Send Message link...

My Messages
Since we all love to IM so much, I made the messaging system work a little like that. Whether you choose to message someone publicly (a comment that anyone who comes to their page can see) or privately (more like an email), the messages will appear one right after the other. I like this because I have a really bad memory and I think that this will help me remember what I said in a comment, even if I want my response to be private.

My Photos
Of course you can have photos. What's a cheerleader to do if they can't share photos??? And wait til you see how cool our photo gallery is!

My Events
This section is not complete yet. But coming very soon will be the ability to not only post your events into your own personal calendar, but you can also add events to your calendar from other people's calendars. AND, you can share your events by sending a message about it to an entire group at a time (or just to one friend at a time if you'd prefer).

I'll use this section to keep track of my practices and to let people know when I'm going to be out of town. My bosses should like this one for when they need to cancel practice or for when I need to miss a practice.

My Account
This page has a few sections: The basic area will allow you to change your name (maybe you get married?). The password area lets you keep your account secure with a password that maybe is more memorable than what you chose when you first signed up. The personal details are basically just the other information that you put in when you signed up. This is also where you'll come to change your profile picture (I have a feeling you'll be back here a lot!).

My Privacy
This is meant to keep you feeling safe. You can choose to keep your profile from being seen by one you don't want. There are some things that need to be changed but we are working on it. Basically, use this to keep people who you haven't added as a friend from seeing your profile, or maybe you only want people from your school or your gym to see your profile and no one else. This is also where you'll come to manage the list of people you may have blocked from seeing your page.

Directory
As the site grows, so will this section. It is going to be your yellow pages for everything cheerleading related. You need music or a choreographer, check the directory. You need to know who sells cheerleading mats, check the directory.

Cheer Gear
This section is where you can come to order cheerleading products. To start, we'll be selling a limited amount of items: sneakers, body suits, briefs, soffee shorts, etc.

Skills
This page is where you will find articles, podcasts and videos to help you learn new skills. Everything from the proper way to jump to giving you tumbling tips and stunt ideas.

Competitions
This page is going to be a full list of all the competitions happening around the country. You'll be able to search the list by State and date to find the ones closest to you. Eventually, you'll even be able to register for competitions through CheerOutLoud.com

Coach's Corner
Obvisously this section is intended for coaches. But it doesn't mean that if you aren't a coach, you can't check it out. This section will have all sorts of ideas for coaches to use.
